FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM EDT /2 PM CDT/ THIS AFTERNOON FOR GRANT, BLACKFORD, JAY, CASS IN, FULTON IN, SOUTHWESTERN MARSHALL, MIAMI, WABASH, SOUTHWESTERN ADAMS, SOUTHERN HUNTINGTON, SOUTHERN WELLS, SOUTHWESTERN LA PORTE, PULASKI, SOUTHERN STARKE AND NORTHEASTERN WHITE COUNTIES
At 121 PM EDT /1221 PM CDT/, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain from Royal Center to near Grissom Air Reserve Base. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD

Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include
Marion, Logansport, Peru, Wabash, Bluffton, Portland, Hartford City, Rochester, Gas City, Upland, Knox, Fairmount, Winamac, Dunkirk, Grissom Afb, Albany, Montpelier, North Judson, Jonesboro and Culver. The heaviest rainfall will be ending over the warning area through 3 pm EDT, but runoff will continue to pose a threat of flash flooding.

Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- 2 to 5 inches of rain fell across much of the area yesterday with isolated pockets of over 6 inches. Additional heavy rain is possible later this morning and again during the afternoon. Rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are possible in thunderstorms.
