There is a chance of thunderstorms Tuesday, mainly in the afternoon, primarily north of I-80 and closer to the Wisconsin border. There is a good chance storms won`t occur, but if storms do occur, conditions would be quite favorable for severe thunderstorms capable of damaging winds and perhaps large hail. Otherwise, hot temperatures and very humid conditions will result in peak afternoon heat indices near or over 100 degrees Tuesday and Wednesday. Occasional chances for thunderstorms are expected late this week into the weekend.
