Sugar Creek Elementary School Weather Advisory
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Illinois and east central Illinois, mainly near and north of I-74.
DAY ONE
Tonight. While isolated thunderstorms are possible into this evening, there is a conditional threat for severe thunderstorms overnight. Damaging winds gusts and locally heavy rain are the primary hazards.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Tuesday through Sunday. Strong to severe thunderstorms may begin as early as late morning on Tuesday, continuing into the afternoon. These storms have the potential to produce wind gusts in excess of 70 to 75 mph. Additional chances for strong to severe storms exist on Wednesday. While storm chances continue into late week, the severe weather threat is lower. However, the repeated tracking of these storms over the same regions through the week will increase the risk of flooding through the week. Heat indices of 100 to 105 degrees are expected Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.
SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT
Spotter activation may be needed on Tuesday, between daybreak and mid afternoon.
