This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Illinois, east central Illinois, southeast Illinois and west central Illinois.
DAY ONE
Tonight. Heat index values will again reach to around 105 degrees through early evening with minimal relief overnight as low temps stay in the mid 70s.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Saturday through Thursday. Isolated thunderstorms are possible Saturday afternoon and evening. While the severe weather threat is not high, a few storms may be strong or briefly severe, mainly near the Indiana border. Saturday will again see heat index values to around 105 degrees. While a couple days of somewhat cooler weather will start the week, another surge of heat is expected Tuesday and Wednesday.

Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. &&
