This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southeast Illinois.
DAY ONE
Late This Afternoon and Tonight. Scattered thunderstorms are expected into this evening. While severe storms are not likely, any storms could produce heavy rainfall and localized flooding. Outside of the storms, the heat index will top out around 100 degrees this afternoon.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Saturday through Thursday. Heat indices will again reach around 100 degrees Saturday. Additional thunderstorm chances are expected Sunday through Monday night. Some of these storms could produce locally heavy rain, and a few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Sunday. Damaging wind gusts and isolated hail will be the primary concern.
