Motes Chapel Historical Weather Advisory
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Illinois, east central Illinois, southeast Illinois and west central Illinois.
DAY ONE
Tonight. A few thunderstorms are possible near the Indiana border into early evening, which may contain some locally gusty winds.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Saturday through Thursday. Isolated thunderstorms are also expected Saturday east of I-57. Thunderstorm chances increase north of I-70 late Saturday night into Sunday, and a few of these may contain some strong wind gusts. Increasing heat and humidity will bring heat index values of 100 to 105 degrees Sunday through Tuesday afternoons, which could result in heat related illness with extended exposure. Thunderstorm chances return Monday night through Thursday. There is potential for severe weather and heavy rain with these storms, although uncertainty in timing and location remains high.
