Tonight. Temperatures will only cool into the mid 70s overnight allowing for little if any relief from the prolonged period of heat setting up over the region.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Tuesday through Sunday. Heat and humidity will continue across central and southeast Illinois Tuesday through Thursday with heat index values climbing to around 100 to 105 degrees each day. Triple digit heat indices may linger into parts of central Illinois Friday and Saturday.
