This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Illinois, east central Illinois, southeast Illinois and west central Illinois.
DAY ONE
Today and tonight. A broken line of thunderstorms will develop ahead of an approaching cold front late this afternoon and continue into the evening. Some of the storms may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts of 60 to 70 mph and hail larger than quarters. An isolated tornado or two cannot be ruled out, especially over portions of east central Illinois. The primary time frame for possible severe weather will be between 4pm and midnight. Minor flooding is ongoing along portions of the Illinois and Wabash rivers.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Thursday through Tuesday. Minor flooding will continue for several days along portions of the Wabash River.
SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT
Spotter activation may be needed late this afternoon and evening. Expected storm motion is toward the east-southeast around 30 mph.
