DAY ONE
Today and tonight. Heat index values will once again range from 100 to 110 degrees this afternoon into early this evening. There is a marginal risk for an isolated severe storm or two this afternoon into this evening, with the primary hazard being damaging winds.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Friday through Wednesday. There is a marginal risk for an isolated severe thunderstorm or two late Friday night through Saturday evening. Damaging wind gusts and hail are the primary hazards. Heat and humidity will continue across central and southeast Illinois through Saturday. Heat index values will climb to around 105 degrees Friday and up to around 100 degrees Saturday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Never leave pets or children unattended in parked vehicles. &&
