The combination of high temperatures in the lower 90s and high humidity values will lead to heat indices up to around 105 degrees through early this evening south of I-80. A complex of thunderstorms may move into far northeastern Illinois and far northwestern IN late tonight into Friday morning. These storms could produce locally strong wind gusts and instances of heavy rainfall.
