west central Illinois
east central Iowa
northeast Iowa
southeast Iowa and northeast Missouri.
DAY ONE
TODAY AND TONIGHT Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon into the overnight hours. Primary hazards are lightning and localized flash flooding, especially late tonight.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY Additional rainfall Wednesday afternoon and evening poses a localized flash flood threat, especially in areas that see repeated rounds of storms. The WPC has a Slight Risk, level 2 out of 4, for excessive rainfall south of Highway 20. There is also a low-end threat for severe storms with a Marginal Risk, level 1 of 5, south of Highway 30 Wednesday. Primary hazards will be lightning and gusty winds, but small hail and an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.

Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
