Rock Branch Church Weather Advisories
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Iowa, west central Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska, central South Dakota, east central South Dakota, south central South Dakota and southeast South Dakota.
DAY ONE
Today and tonight. Gusty north to northwest winds will peak this morning with gusts of 30 to 40 mph. Wind speeds will slowly ease with winds becoming light and variable tonight. The light winds and clearing skies will allow widespread frost to develop tonight. Locations roughly along and east of U.S. Highway 81 could see temperatures fall to near freezing or below, with several hours of freezing temperatures most likely in portions of southwest Minnesota and northwest Iowa. Take precautions to protect sensitive outdoor vegetation.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Saturday through Thursday. Southerly gusts of 25 to 35 mph quickly develop Saturday morning, with isolated gusts up to 40 mph possible in higher elevations. These stronger winds may produce localized elevated fire danger, especially in sufficiently dry grasses and cropland.
