DAY ONE
THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT Periods of moderate to heavy rain will fall overnight tonight. While hourly rainfall will average a quarter of an inch or less most hours, this long duration rainfall could lead to flooding of fields, ponding of water on roads and poorly drained areas, and may cause rivers to rise overnight. A flood watch has been issued for much of eastern Iowa and portions of northwest Illinois through Thursday evening. Area rivers are experiencing flooding. Please see the latest Flood Statements and Flood Warnings for details.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY Another round of rain is expected Thursday afternoon and evening. The rain will be heavy at times. Additional rainfall amounts over 1 inch are possible which may lead to flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas, and renewed rises on tributary rivers.
SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT
Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight. Rainfall reports over 1 inch would be appreciated.
