FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT

Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. WHERE

Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- Flooding is currently occurring in a few areas. Though rain has mostly come to an end, rivers may continue to rise throughout the day. Poor drainage and low lying areas may experience ponding. Significant rises are expected or ongoing on many rivers and streams, which may exceed flood stage. Of most concern include but are not limited to portions of the following river basins
South Skunk from Ames downstream, Des Moines from Des Moines downstream, Raccoon downstream of U.S. Hwy 30, as well as the Middle, South and Grand.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
