WEATHER ALERT
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.
DAY ONE
This afternoon and tonight Snow showers are likely from this evening through the overnight hours and into early Wednesday morning. The snow showers may produce brief bursts of moderate to heavy snowfall which would degrade travel conditions due to low visibility and slick roadways.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Wednesday through Monday Gusty northwesterly winds are expected on Wednesday with gusts in the 25 to 40 mph range. Wind chill temperatures drop into the single digit above zero to teens below zero range late Wednesday afternoon through early Thursday. Another round of light snow is likely for Thursday. Snowfall amounts are expected to be mainly less than one inch. There is an increasing threat of wintry precipitation on Friday into Friday evening. Amounts and most likely precipitation types remain uncertain at this time, but travel impacts are possible.
