WHEN

Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in streams. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 915 PM HST, Doppler radar indicated bands of moderate to locally heavy rain over Kauai. The heaviest rainfall has been occurring over south and west Kauai with rates of 0.5 to 1 inch per hour. Minor flooding is ongoing in the advisory area. Additional bands of heavy rain will be possible over the next several hours. - Some locations that will experience flooding include
Lihue, Kapaa, Kalaheo, Kekaha, Lawai, Omao, Kokee State Park and Poipu.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to flooding. A Flood Watch is also in effect for Kauai through Thursday afternoon. && LAT

Through Thursday afternoon. IMPACTS
Flood prone roads and other low lying areas may be closed due to elevated runoff and overflowing streams. Urban areas may receive more significant flooding and property damage due to rapid runoff. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- Heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms will develop tonight and continue through Thursday as deep tropical moisture is drawn northward over the state. Training of heavy showers containing intense rain rates will be possible.
