DAY ONE
This Afternoon and Tonight
Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon across the area. A few of these storms may become strong to severe, capable of producing damaging wind gusts, small hail, and frequent lightning. Stronger storms will also produce heavy rainfall which could lead to isolated flash flooding.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Thursday through Tuesday
A Heat Advisory is in effect for portions of central and east Georgia from noon to 8 PM EDT on Thursday for heat index values between 105 to 108 degrees. Hot and humid conditions will persist through the weekend, with heat indices in the triple digits each day. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected each afternoon through the week. Locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds will be primary storm threats.

Spotter activation is not requested but spotters are encouraged to submit reports of severe weather through the web by going to weather.gov/atlanta. Please relay any information about observed severe weather to the NWS while following all local, state, and CDC guidelines.
