This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north and central Georgia.
DAY ONE
Tonight
Showers and thunderstorms will continue to advance southward overnight, becoming more scattered as they enter central Georgia after midnight. Widespread severe weather is not expected, though stronger storms will be capable of producing frequent lightning, heavy rain, and gusty winds of 40 to 50 mph.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Tuesday through Sunday
Hot and humid conditions will persist for much of the week, with heat index values rising into the triple digits each day in many locations. A Heat Advisory will remain in effect through 8 PM EDT Tuesday evening for portions of central Georgia. Scattered thunderstorms will possible across north and central Georgia Friday and Saturday, mainly during the afternoon and evening.
