A Heat Advisory is in effect for portions of central Georgia until 8 pm today. Air temperatures in the mid to upper 90s will combine with humid air to bring heat indices up to 109 across the advisory area. Please use caution if outdoors. Take breaks, drink fluids, and try to avoid being outside during peak afternoon heating if possible.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Wednesday through Monday
Scattered thunderstorms will possible across north and central Georgia Friday and Saturday, mainly during the afternoon and evening.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. &&
