This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north and central Georgia.
DAY ONE
Today and Tonight
A Heat Advisory remains in effect for much of north and central Georgia through tonight as both temperatures and humidity will remain elevated. Please exercise caution if outdoors and check on vulnerable neighbors. Isolated to scattered afternoon thunderstorms will be possible today. A few storms may be severe. The primary threat will be damaging wind gusts, frequent lightning, and heavy rain.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Sunday through Friday
Hot and humid conditions will persist through the weekend, with heat indices in the triple digits each day. The Heat Advisory continues through 8pm Saturday. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected each afternoon through the weekend into next week. Locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds will be primary storm threats.

Spotter activation is not requested but spotters are encouraged to submit reports of severe weather through the web by going to weather.gov/atlanta. Please relay any information about observed severe weather to the NWS while following all local and state guidelines.
