Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don`t swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help. &&

A portion of southeast Georgia, including the following areas, Appling, Atkinson, Bacon, Brantley, Clinch, Coastal Camden, Coastal Glynn, Coffee, Echols, Inland Camden, Inland Glynn, Jeff Davis, Northeastern Charlton, Northern Ware, Pierce, Southern Ware, Wayne and Western Charlton. WHEN

Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- A lifting warm front and moisture from the remnants of Tropical Cyclone Isaias passing northwest of the area will bring rounds of moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms across areas of Southeast Georgia and the Suwannee Valley of Northeast Florida today.
