Minor saltwater flooding of low elevation streets and lots is likely. Some storm drains will overflow, and some seawalls and docks will be overtopped. Boaters can expect less clearance under fixed bridges. Motorists should remember that persistent puddles around the times of high tide are almost certain to contain a mix of saltwater.

Through 500 PM, a broken line of showers and an isolated thunderstorm oriented from southeast to northwest across the Lower Keys and adjacent waters will move northwest at 15 to 20 knots. Mariners encountering this activity may experience gusty and erratic winds up to near 25 knots, moderate downpours, and a few lightning strikes. Island communities in the Lower Keys may receive a couple tenths to one half inch of rainfall.
