Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 1132 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include
Hialeah, Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines, Hollywood, Miramar, Coral Springs, Pompano Beach, Davie, Miami Beach, Plantation, Sunrise, Deerfield Beach, Tamarac, Margate, Lighthouse Point, Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, Surfside, Hallandale and Miami Gardens. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

For the Coastal Flood Statement, isolated minor coastal flooding. For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents. WHERE
Coastal Palm Beach County, Coastal Broward County and Coastal Miami Dade County. WHEN
For the Coastal Flood Statement, until 5 PM EDT this afternoon. For the High Rip Current Risk, through Saturday evening. IMPACTS
Some water on low lying roads and property. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Do not drive through flooded roadways. Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don`t swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help. &&
