Through 900 am, isolated showers and possibly an embedded thunderstorm will move generally to the west at near 15 knots across the nearshore and offshore waters surrounding the island chain. The stronger activity will be concentrated on the gulf and bay side waters adjacent to the Florida Keys, as well as on the near and offshore waters from the Lower Keys to Rebecca Shoal. The stronger activity will produce wind gusts 20 to 25 knots, blinding downpours, and possibly a rare lightning strike. Island communities in the Lower Keys can expect up to a quick tenth to one quarter of an inch of rainfall.
