Through 630 pm, scattered showers with a stray isolated thunderstorm will move generally to the northwest at 15 to 20 knots through the nearshore and offshore waters surrounding the Florida Keys. Mariners encountering the stronger activity in the vicinity of the Lower Keys can expect blinding downpours, wind gusts of near 25 knots, and perhaps a few lightning strikes. Island communities in the Lower Keys, can expect to receive an quarter of an inch to a half of an inch of rainfall.

Minor saltwater flooding of low elevation streets and lots is likely. Some storm drains will overflow, and some seawalls and docks will be overtopped. Boaters can expect less clearance under fixed bridges. Motorists should remember that persistent puddles around the times of high tide are almost certain to contain a mix of saltwater.
