COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EDT SUNDAY
WHAT
Around 1 to 1 1/2 ft of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline. The highest water levels are likely with the Saturday morning and possibly Sunday morning high tides. WHERE
Southern Middlesex and Southern New London Counties. WHEN
During the times of high tide until 6 PM EDT Sunday. IMPACTS
Minor flooding is expected in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. Expect around 1 to 1 1/2 feet of inundation above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns and homes/businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Another round of minor coastal flooding is possible for the Sunday morning high tide cycle.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Sustained northeast winds 20 to 25 mph, locally up to 30-35 mph. Wind gusts 40-50 mph, locally up to 55 mph. WHERE
Portions of southern Connecticut and southeast New York. WHEN
Until 6 AM EDT Sunday. IMPACTS
Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The strong winds will last for a very long duration, possibly exceeding 24-36 hours. Considering the long duration rain fall and full foliage of trees, impacts may be exacerbated. The highest localized winds are expected to occur on eastern Long Island and southern New London county.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects. &&
