This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central
east central
south central and southeast Colorado.
DAY ONE
Today and Tonight A Red Flag Warning is in effect for this afternoon and early evening for mainly Pueblo county and eastern Fremont county. winds of 25 to 30 mph are expected with very low humidity values. A few thunderstorms will be possible over the southern Sangre De Cristo mountains. Isolated thunderstorms may occur in the southern San Juans and the southern sections of the greater Wet Mountain valley region.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Saturday through Thursday. It will be very hot across the entire region this weekend. Temperatures will range from 95 to 107 over the plains and low 90s in the valleys. It will mainly be dry on Saturday, but we may see an uptick in showers over the mountains on Sunday. For Monday and Tuesday, it will be less hot over the region and the chances for showers and thunderstorms over the entire region will gradually increase. For Wednesday and Thurday, there will be a good chance of showers and thunderstorms. and some of the rain could be heavy, as monsoon moisture returns to the region. Flash flooding may become a concern during this time period over parts of the region.
