This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central
east central
south central and southeast Colorado.
DAY ONE
This Afternoon and Tonight Scattered thunderstorms are forecast mainly across the mountains this afternoon and early evening. Thunderstorms will move southeast off the higher terrain and into the Intrastate 25 corridor this evening, mainly south of Highway 50. Lightning, outflow wind gusts near 45 mph and locally heavy rainfall may accompany thunderstorms. If a storm happens to move over the Aspen Acres burn scar, flash flooding could occur.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Friday through Wednesday Showers and thunderstorms are expected to be scattered over the mountains and isolated over the plains during this period. The best chance for heavier rain, and increased flash flooding, will be on Saturday.
