Flash flooding and debris flows are possible over the Gold Mountain burn scar as thunderstorms are developing over the area. WHERE
Southeastern Ouray County in southwestern Colorado from Ouray to Portland over the Gold Mountain burn scar. WHEN
Until 645 AM MDT. IMPACTS
Excessive rainfall is possible over the Gold Mountain Burn Scar which could lead to flash flooding and/or debris flows, particularly along highway 550 between Cutler Creek and Dexter Creek. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 344 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms developing over the area with rainfall rates in excess of one inch per hour which could affect the Gold Mountain Burn Scar. - Gold Mountain Burn Scar is the most likely place to experience minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Climb to higher ground. Avoid Cutler and Dexter Creek drainages. && LAT
