Northfield Weather Advisory
This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central
east central
south central and southeast Colorado.
DAY ONE
Today and tonight Showers and thunderstorms are forecast across southern Colorado this afternoon and evening. Thunderstorms will be capable of producing lightning, wind gusts near 45 mph and locally heavy rainfall. If a storm moves across a burn scar, flash flooding may be possible.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Tuesday through Sunday Increasing moisture and multiple waves are forecast to impact southern Colorado Tuesday through Friday. Showers and thunderstorms will increase in coverage on Tuesday across the Mountains, then across the whole area Wednesday through Friday. Flash flooding on area burn scars will be possible during the Wednesday to Friday period as thunderstorms will be efficient rainfall producers. Lightning, gusty outflow winds and small hail will be possible as well. Drier air will lead to less shower and thunderstorm coverage by next weekend.
SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT
Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will be possible over portions of the region.
