Maxeyville Weather Advisory
This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central
east central
south central and southeast Colorado.
DAY ONE
Today and Tonight Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible across the higher terrain this afternoon through early evening, with a focus along the Continental Divide. The main risk from storms will be cloud to ground lightning and wind gusts to 45 mph.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Saturday through Thursday A large Pacific trough across the Pacific Northwest will slowly move towards the southern California coast by Sunday night. It will then move east-northeast and should cross Colorado by mid week. This system promises to bring unsettled weather and some cooling to the higher terrain, and especially to the Continental Divide, by as early as Sunday, and then will move over the rest of the region next week. There is still lots of uncertainty with this system, but confidence is rather high that it will get cooler by Tuesday, and the weather over the interior mountain will be quite unsettled. The remainder of the region will be impacted by this storm system, but it is still too far out to know what the impacts will be.
SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT
Weather spotters will not be needed today or tonight.
