High Park Weather Advisory
This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central
east central
south central and southeast Colorado.
DAY ONE
Tonight Another hard freeze will be possible across most of the southeast plains which could be cold enough and long enough duration to bring an end to the growing season. Protect tender plants and exposed water pipes.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Friday through Wednesday Isolated showers and thunderstorms will spread across the mountains late Sunday through Tuesday though any precipitation will be light with snow levels remaining across the higher peaks. The main risk with thunderstorms will be lightning, gusty outflow winds up to 40 mph and spotty light rainfall. Another storm system will approach the region in the mid to latter part of next week, increasing showers and thunderstorms and higher elevation snows across southern Colorado towards next weekend.
SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT
Weather spotters will not be needed today or tonight.
