This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central
east central
south central and southeast Colorado.
DAY ONE
Today and tonight Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon, mainly across the Continental Divide and Raton Mesa regions. Lightning, brief heavy rainfall and gusty outflow winds to 40 mph may accompany stronger storms.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Wednesday through Monday Abundant moisture will combine with multiple upper wave to produce periods of thunderstorm activity across the higher terrain Wednesday through Friday. Flash flooding may be possible across the San Juan Mountains, and on area burn scars. More isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible over the weekend, before becoming more widespread early next week.
