This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central
east central
south central and southeast Colorado.
DAY ONE
This Afternoon and Tonight One or two strong thunderstorms will be possible across the southern Sangre De Cristo mountains and adjacent areas. Winds gusts to 50 to 60 mph will be possible along with hail ranging from nickels to quarters. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible across the southern mountains today, including the Aspen Acres burn scar. If a strong storm should develop over the burn scar, then flash flooding could occur, especially over the central part of the burn scar. Elevated fire weather conditions will be possible along the Continental Divide today.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Wednesday through Monday Elevated fire weather conditions will be possible along the Continental Divide through the rest of this week. These elevated fire weather conditions will then be possible across parts of the plains this upcoming weekend. Temperatures will once again become hot by Friday and last into the weekend. Readings in the 100s will be likely across a good part of the plains Friday through Monday.
