HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON PST TUESDAY

Ventura County Beaches. WHEN

There is an increased risk of ocean drowning. Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Waves can wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats nearshore. Flooded sandy beach areas and moderate beach erosion possible. Localized and shallow flooding of beach parking lots, bike paths, and walkways. Isolated damage is unlikely, but cannot be discounted. High tides of 7.2 to 7.6 feet (MLLW) are expected each morning. Surf and coastal flooding impacts peak on Monday.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. Do NOT drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions, or stay near occupied lifeguard towers. Rock jetties can be deadly in such conditions, stay off the rocks. &&
