For the Beach Hazards Statement, surf of 3 to 6 feet and dangerous rip currents expected. For the Coastal Flood Advisory, minor coastal flooding around high tides expected. WHERE

For the Beach Hazards Statement, through Friday evening. For the Coastal Flood Advisory, from 6 AM today to 11 AM PDT Friday. IMPACTS
Flooding of beach parking lots, boardwalks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected. Minor coastal erosion is also expected. Additionally, elevated surf will lead to strong rip currents. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
High tides are expected to peak between 6.5 and 7.0 feet during the mornings and evenings.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
High astronomical tides possibly in combination with above normal surf will likely produce minor flooding of low-lying areas along the beach such as beach parking lots. Coastal officials should take the necessary precautionary measures to safeguard their beaches. &&

Dangerously hot conditions with high temperatures ranging from the mid 80s to lower 90s at the beaches to the uppers 90s for the mesas and other higher coastal terrain. Nights will be very warm with low temperatures in the low 70s. WHERE

Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. &&
