PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. &&
BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING

Elevated surf of 3-5 feet with sets to 7 feet expected along with dangerous rip currents and minor coastal flooding. WHERE
San Diego County coastal areas and Orange County coastal areas, particularly along south and southwest-facing beaches. WHEN
From early Wednesday morning through Thursday evening. IMPACTS
Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Flooding of low lying beach parking lots, boardwalks, and roads. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
High tides peak around 6.2 to 6.5 feet from 8-10 PM PDT this evening and Thursday evening.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
A beach hazards statement is issued when threats such as strong rip currents
elevated surf heights
minor tidal overflow
or lightning are possible at local beaches. Obey posted warning signs and flags and talk to a lifeguard before swimming. Use caution when in or near the water and always swim near a lifeguard.
