FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY EVENING THROUGH LATE SUNDAY NIGHT
WHAT
Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. WHERE
A portion of south central Arizona, including the following areas, Dripping Springs, Globe/Miami, Mazatzal Mountains, Pinal/Superstition Mountains, San Carlos, Southeast Gila County, Superior and Tonto Basin. WHEN
From Saturday evening through late Sunday night. IMPACTS
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- A second, followup weather system will bring even better atmospheric moisture over the region Saturday night through Sunday and lead to a prolonged period of light to moderate rainfall across the Watch area, with embedded convection producing pockets of heavier rain. Additional rainfall amounts on the order of 2-3 inches will fall over several hours or longer on top of already moist soil, leading to additional runoff. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
