Hot and dry conditions continue today across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Heat indices up to 107 degrees are forecast in the Arkansas River Valley as well as near the Tulsa metro this afternoon. A Heat Advisory is in effect between noon and 8 PM as a result. Dangerous Heat Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION
Near persistent weather will continue over the next several days with afternoon heat indices between 100 and 109 degrees. Dry weather will continue. The only potential exception could be a few showers across far southeast OK on Thursday.
