Widespread rain and scattered thunderstorms will spread across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas today through tonight. Rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour will be possible which may cause localized flooding issues especially in urban areas. Additionally, any storms will be capable of locally strong winds however the overall severe weather risk remains low. The heaviest rainfall will taper off by evening. Thunderstorm chances continue on Friday and Saturday primarily southeast of Interstate 44. Locally heavy rainfall may develop on Friday from southeast Oklahoma into northwest Arkansas.
