This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as much of Eastern Oklahoma.

This Afternoon and Tonight. SEVERE THUNDERSTORM. RISK

Mainly Northeast Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas. ONSET

Along and South of Interstate 40. ONSET
Ongoing. DISCUSSION
Scattered elevated thunderstorms continue across parts of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas early this afternoon. While the storms have been showing an overall weakening trend which is likely to continue, the potential remains for isolated damaging downburst winds until the storms totally dissipate later this afternoon. A complex of thunderstorms may develop across northwest Oklahoma and southwest Kansas this afternoon and early evening. If these storms do develop, they may track east into parts of northeast Oklahoma and possibly far northwest Arkansas by late this evening and overnight. Damaging downburst winds may be possible with a few of these storms as well overnight. Heat index values of 105 to 110 degrees will be common this afternoon along and south of Interstate 40. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT
