Dangerous Heat Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION
Dangerous heat will continue Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, with near record high temperatures. Spotty afternoon thunderstorms are possible both days. A slow moving cold front is forecast to arrive late Wednesday night through Thursday. Widely scattered showers and scattered thunderstorms are likely to spread along and north of the front with the highest rain chances generally along and north of Interstate 40. Slightly cooler temperatures are expected Thursday into Friday with hot weather likely to return by next weekend. Daily thunderstorm chances continue into next weekend but uncertainty remains high with how the weather pattern will transition in the wake of the mid week cold front. weather.gov/tulsa contains additional information.
