Showers, with a low chance of thunderstorms, are ongoing across parts of eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas early this morning and are expected to continue through the day. The afternoon hours will feature the best chance of scattered thunderstorms, focused in areas south of Interstate 44. A locally heavy rain threat will continue in southeast Oklahoma and west central Arkansas, with amounts up to an inch expected to be common and local totals in the 2 to 3 inch range possible.
