Isolated thunderstorms will remain possible early this evening across parts of southeast Oklahoma and west central Arkansas. Additional isolated storms will be possible late tonight mainly over the higher terrain of northwest Arkansas. Dangerous heat is expected each day for the next week, with the hottest conditions likely on Tuesday and Wednesday. Afternoon heat index values of 110-112 degrees are currently forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday. A few showers and thunderstorms may occur, particularly Wednesday into Thursday, as a weak cold front moves into the area.
