Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 617 AM AKDT, river gauge reports indicate rises in water levels from heavy rain across the advisory area. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly, especially near Montana Creek. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to a quarter of an inch is possible. - For Montana Creek at Back Loop Bridge: At 6:00am the stage was 14.5 feet. Flood Stage is 14.5 feet. Forecast: A crest around 14.7 feet is expected around 1:00am Tuesday. A crest around 15.0 feet is expected around 12:00am Tuesday. Water levels will go below minor flood stage around 3am. Impacts: At 14.5 feet: Water begins flowing over the low water crossing on Montana Creek Road. Bankfull conditions at the gauge with water starting to inundate adjacent undeveloped fields along Mendenhall Loop Road.
