AREAS OF DENSE FOG ALONG WITH PERIODS OF A WINTRY MIX OF RAIN, SNOW, AND FREEZING DRIZZLE FOR THE CENTRAL COPPER RIVER BASIN THROUGH MONDAY MORNING
Areas of locally dense fog will persist along portions of the Glenn and Richardson Highways, especially from Glennallen west to Mendeltna, this evening through early Monday morning. Periods of a wintry mix of precipitation are also expected across the Copper River Basin through Monday morning. With temperatures around freezing for most locations, any precipitation may fall as a mix of rain, snow, and freezing drizzle. Little to no significant snow and ice accumulation is expected. However, the combination of falling precipitation and temperatures around freezing may result in slippery road conditions and patchy black ice. The precipitation and fog is expected to taper off by early to mid Monday morning. Motorists are urged to slow down and use caution while traveling. For the latest road conditions call 5 1 1 or visit 511.alaska.gov.
