WEATHER ALERT
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Arkansas, southwest Arkansas, north central Louisiana, northwest Louisiana, southeast Oklahoma, east Texas and northeast Texas.
DAY ONE
This afternoon and tonight. Much cooler and drier air will spill south into the region this evening and overnight with the passage of a strong cold front. No hazardous weather is expected.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN
Wednesday through Monday. Very low humidities and gusty northeast winds atop dry grounds will promote an elevated fire danger across the region Wednesday, which will promote the ignition and spread of any wildfires that develop. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged, even away from areas where burn bans are not in effect. Mild days, cool nights, and dry conditions will continue across the region each day through Monday.
