This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Arkansas,
southwest Arkansas, north central Louisiana, northwest Louisiana,
southeast Oklahoma, east Texas and northeast Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Record high temperatures are expected across much of the region this
afternoon, as readings climb into the mid to upper 90s ahead of a
cold front that will enter extreme Southeast Oklahoma, Western and
Central Arkansas. Those that must be outside this afternoon are urged
to wear lightweight, loose fitting clothing, drink plenty of water,
take plenty of breaks in air conditioned facilities, and check up on
relatives and neighbors who do not have sufficient air conditioning.
Remember to have plenty of shade and water for outdoor pets, or
consider bringing them inside. In addition, an elevated fire danger
will exist today across much of the region given these record high
temperatures, very dry soil moisture conditions, very low
humidities, and west southwest winds of 10 to 15 mph with higher
gusts. Outdoor burning is highly discouraged where burn bans are not
in effect. Do not toss any cigarette butts or have anything that may
create sparks atop these very dry grounds.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

No hazardous weather is expected.
